Morning has broken....

Image
It was a three part day. The dawn/sunrise, the top the mountain and the descent.  And, while the word Rock isn’t ordinarily considered an obscenity, after yesterday’s 3600 ft downward trek I’ve decided it’s another bad four letter word that ends in K. It was the most spectacular morning....it is hard to describe.  So, the pictures will have to do the job.  But we started at 6:00 am in the dark with our headlamps.  We climbed up rocks for about an hour.  Here’s what we saw and heard: A mouse and a lizard and enough sticks that looked like snakes that I actually got used to them.  Cob webs on plants that glistened in our headlamps.  Dew on leaves that made them look like Christmas ornaments...like they had either glitter or were wrapped in holiday cellophane Owls and birds, but no roosters this morning.  Maybe We woke Them up.  And silence...  We were in the dark until we arrived at a small town and had a coffee. They are from Australia.  ...

Welcome to the World Future Pilgrim!

She Wee....

First things first.  Thanks to Steve for his guest blog. He is really funny.  But I am back for a few days anyway.                                                But yesterday was really BIG!!  We just found out how to level the playing field between men and women.  It’s called She Wee.  Enter our new best friend from Australia who told us about the She Wee and made us laugh so hard that we almost....never mind. Anyone who doesn’t want to read about difference in male and female anatomy should scroll down to the next part of the blog. As we are hiking, men simply pull of the road behind a tree and go.  Women, on the other hand, fret for a while, worry longer and then finally when they know there is no other option, find the perfect thick row of trees that perfectly cordon off the hikers from “their spot” and then take their roll of...
